Dealing With Difficulties ‘Motivation’

Dealing with Difficulties Motivation

One dictionary meaning for the word Motivation is “a reason or reasons for acting or behaving in a particular way. A simple definition according to Wikipedia, “Motivation is derived from the word ‘motive’ which denotes a person’s needs, desires, wants or urges. It describes why a person does something. It is the driving force behind human actions. It is the process that initiates, guides and maintains goal-oriented behaviors.”

We see that throughout Jesus’ life, His motivation was to always please His Father. His life of prayer and serving and ministering to people showed this attitude.

Romans 12 verse 2 “Do not be conformed to this world (this age), (fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs), but be transformed (changed) by the (entire) renewal of your mind (by its new ideals and its new attitude) so that you may prove for yourselves) what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect (in His sight for you).”

I love this scripture. It tells us that our Lord and Friend has a plan for our lives that is good acceptable and perfect. He knows us intimately and He knows how each of us can fit perfectly into His plans and purposes. Jesus said He came that we might have life abundantly, joy overflowing and peace that passes understanding.

Proverbs 21 verse 2: {Message Bible} “we justify our actions by appearances: God examines our motives”.

Luke 6 verses 44 and 45: {Message Bible}: “The health of the apple tells the health of the tree. You must begin with your own life-giving lives. It’s who you are, not what you say and do, that counts. Your true being brims over into true words and deeds”.

When we talk with Our Lord and Our Friend, what do we talk to Him about? Our Prayers will become powerful when we allow Our Lord and Our Friend to change our desires so that they perfectly correspond to His will for us all individually.

God has a dream for each one of our lives. This dream, divinely-wired into our souls, holds the blueprint for our God-given assignments; containing passions, potential and destiny.

God Bless. Kath
