Our Lord and Our Friend requires Unity in Spirit not uniformity.
We were all created individuals, for individual expression of our love to God.
John 3 Verse 16::For God loved the world in this way; He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish have eternal life.”
Unity in Spirit involves producing fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5 Verse 22:
Mathew 7 verse 16: “You’ll recognize them by their fruit. Are grapes gathered from thorns-bushes or figs from thistles
Colossians 1 verse 10 speaks about ‘bearing good fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God”.
In producing good fruit, it should give us a hunger to know more in the knowledge of God.
The effort that grows anything good, requires knowledge so our efforts to grow fruit pleasing to Our Lord and Our Friend, requires us to know more about Him.
To grow so our lives become more fertile, for the Spirit to use.
To grow so the fruit that we do produce, is helpful in building His kingdom.
To grow so our lives reflex, the glory of His Presence in our lives.
To grow in Him, so we can have unity, with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Unity of Spirit is the heart of unity with Our Lord and Our Friend, which doesn’t need uniformity , to any world perception.
