From The Heart

Seasons
Ecclesiastes chapter 3 verses 1 to 8 talk says there is a time for everything.
These verses are often quoted at funerals.
Recently, however I heard this adaptation read at a wedding – and wanted to
share it today.
Take time to THINK… it is the source of power.
Take time to PLAY… it is the secret of perpetual youth.
Take time to READ… it is the fountain of wisdom.
Take time to PRAY… it is the greatest power on earth.
Take time to LOVE and BE LOVED… it is a God-given privilege.
Take time to BE FRIENDLY… it is the road to happiness.
Take time to LAUGH… it is the music of the soul.
Take time to WORK… it is the price of success.
Take time to DO CHARITY… it is the key to heaven.
Take time to LOVE and BE LOVED – it’s a God-given privilege. (note:- BE LOVED
when joined together = Beloved; we are accepted in God’s Beloved, Christ
Jesus, our Lord and Friend.) How wonderful!
The reading at the wedding, however, was for the man and woman, who had
found love in latter years, and were committing to each other – to love and be
loved. Indeed, a God-given privilege and a commandment – to love one
another.
The reason I entitled this week’s article was because currently I have been
unwell, fighting a flu virus, and in the midst of the coughing and weariness, I
have seen the blessing of God in this season. Although I had to stay home, I
have been able to complete tasks that were on hold when I was out and about.
Also, I am grateful that, like the reading above says, I have been loved and
supported, and that’s a wonderful blessing.
Whatever season you are going through, and it may be long or short, I pray
that you will find the Divine Encourager, Holy Spirit, is always with you, to
comfort and lift you up, as you walk in the good works He has prepared for
you.
Grace and peace. Kath
