2 Corinthians 3 verse 17: “Now The Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of The Lord is, there is freedom”.
2 Corinthians 3 verse 7 to 18: is speaking about New Covenant ministry.
In the Old Testament Moses used to put a veil over his face so the God’s people could not look at even the fading Glory, after Moses had been in the presence of God.
In Luke 4 verse 18: Jesus tells us He was sent by The Father, ‘to proclaim Freedom to captives, to set free the oppressed’.
The New Covenant, we can come boldly before the Throne of Grace ourselves. Hebrews 4 verse 16:
“Therefore let us approach the Throne of Grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find to help us at the proper time”.
One of the great motivating factors for people through out the world today is the quest for freedom, for self-determination.
Christ Jesus has given us individual free choice, because that is why He came down from His Throne, so we could have the opportunity to accept the price He would paid for our Freedom. This freedom comes through our Repentance and Acceptance, of all He has done for us.
True Christian freedom is Christlike freedom. It accepts absolute moral standards that are well known and proven, and takes it’s inspiration from the liberated life and teachings of Or Lord and Our Friend.
All of us are enslaved to sin from the moment of conception. Our only hope is Christ Jesus {Our Lord Our Redeemer and Our Friend}, who is able to emancipate us from the bondage. Romans 7 verse 24:
V24:”What a wretched man {person} I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?”
Then we look at verse 25, how freedom comes : “I thank God through Jesus Christ Our Lord! By The salvation He offers us, and He enables us through The Power of His Holy Spirit to do what we could not do in and of ourselves, live in The Christlike freedom He displayed, and we were created for.
God Bless.
