The struggle or contradiction we have is because, on one hand we are dead to sin, by acceptance of what Our Lord Our Redeemer and Our Friend achieved on the cross for us. On the other hand as we live our every day life, sin still remains a constant reality, It is a part of dying to self, God gives us the will to be Holy, but the day by day reality of what we see around us, causes great consternation to us.

Psalm 62 verse 1 to 2: {NLT}

V1: “I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from Him”.

V2: He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken”.

.Victory within has been won because, Galatians 2 verse 20:

“I no longer live, but Christ lives in me, The life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me”.

We need to look at what Sin is, it is not simply, hurt and cheating on a friend or neighbor, nor is it simply abusing our own bodies, which is the Temple Of The Holy Spirit.

SIN, all sin is a rebellion and offense against the God that created us.

In Australia we have a term, ‘She will be alright’, it is like saying it doesn’t matter everything will turn out alright. This often leaves a trail of uncleared-up disasters. Sin hurts, sin hurts our relationship with others and more especially sin hurts our relationship with Our Lord and Our friend.

So how do we achieve this victory within? Well it has already been won on the cross, for us. Holy living demands constant examination of our actions and motives.

We have become to self defensive, self reliant, but self should have been crucified on the cross, with Christ Jesus {Our Lord and Our Friend}.

To live the Victory within, we need to become dependent grounded, where our dependency belongs with Our Lord and Our Friend. He becomes our Defender, and He becomes our all Sufficiency.
