Psalm 37 verse 7: Let us look at it, from a different translation, the New Living Translation:
“Be still in the presence of The Lord, and wait patiently for Him to act Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about wicked schemes”.
Be still in the presence of The Lord. The verb describes a calm surrender to the Lord. Creative silence is a rare thing these day, even in a church service, People in generally not looking for silence, but unless we learn to wait silently before Our Lord and Our Friend, we will never really experience His peace.
And that word from this verse ‘wait’, people theses days, seem to find it hard to wait. Let alone ‘wait patiently’. As we learn more about what God gave us through Salvation {John 3 Verse 16}, we will learn to trust. Trust that the battles of life are not ours, they belong to the Lord.
It said in this message what Our Lord wants us to understand so clearly, ‘wait patiently for Him to act’
Be still, it is not in our doings, it is is our doings through Him, but first we need to come to a stillness in Him, submission that He knows best in everything. Jeremiah 29 Verse 11; “For I know the plans I have for you”.
Matthew 11 verse 28: Jesus says, ‘Come’, which is an act of surrender. The world and it systems on the subject of surrender, would say,’it shall happen and if it doesn’t happen there is something wrong with the participant” It is not like that in God’s kingdom, because His kingdom is about Him, and it is through Him, and Him alone, we have a life with purpose and blessing.
Rest In the Lord and we are resting in The All Knowing, All Powerful, and All Loving God, and we will learn more about Him. We will find a deeper peace, because we trust Him more.
It is apart of the transformation process He has , for all those willing to trust In Him. Psalm 37 verse 3; {Again New Living Translation}.
“Trust in the Lord and do good, then you will live safely in the land and prosper”.
We only prosper through Him, and not in our own ways.
In His rest, we get more than just sleep, we can feed of His Faithfulness as nourishment for our lives. Our lives need to be more about Him, and less about our own preconceived concepts.
God Bless
