Kingdom Authority

Luke Chapter 10 verses 17 to 20: We read:

V 17: “The 70 returned with joy, saying Lord, even the demons submit to us in Your name”.

V 18: “He said then, ‘I watched Satan fall for heaven like a flashing light.”

V 19: Look, I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions; and over the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.”

V 20: “however, don’t rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.’

We belong to the King {Christ Jesus} we have Kingdom Authority.

Now the word ‘Power’ is used twice in some translations. Yet in the Greek, there are 2 different words for power. The first means, ‘authority’ and if your translation say power, authority can be used.

John 14 Verse 12: Jesus is telling them

“I assure you; The one who believes in Me will also do the works that I do. And He will do even greater works than these, because I am going to the Father.”

Verse 16: And I will ask The Father and He will give you ‘another’ Counselor to be with you forever”

The 70 operated by using the Name of Jesus, because they Identified Him as King.

Because of what Jesus did for us on the cross, and because of our birth into His Kingdom. We have ‘Kingdom Authority’

When we are born again, we are born to win

Notice the seventy came back rejoicing, in using the name of Jesus.

The one who believes in Me will do even greater works.

Jesus became as a man to do God’s work, he put on humility of being a man, but He still had authority. He never used all His authority, because of His love for us. He died for us, that in resurrection life, we might live through Him.

With the Help of The Holy Spirit we will do greater things, demons have to flee, lives will be changed, the sick healed.

There is a song we can sing, to remember our Kingdom authority,

Victory I have in Jesus Christ
Forgiveness for He was crucified
Wholeness in every part of me
Deliverance, His life has set me free
I’m reigning with Him upon the throne
And conquering over Satan’s power below
Living a life with Christ as Lord and King

Say it, sing it every day and night,

Now speaking the word of faith

Praying in the Spirit

Then living it will come right.

The God of this world is a liar and a cheat, but we are ambassadors in this world, because we have been brought with a price, The Blood of Christ, to live in a new Kingdom with Kingdom Authority.

Power over all the tactics of the enemy because the battle belongs to the Lord.
