Humility is one of the Fruits of the Holy Spirit, but God is not trying to humble us.
Religion might be, but in Relationship humility becomes a strength.
The only example we should have is that of Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend.
Philippians 2 verse 1 to 4: V5: “If then there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any affection and mercy<”
V2: “Fulfill my joy by thinking the same way, having the same love, sharing the same feelings, focusing on one goal”.
V3: “Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves”.
V4: “Everyone should look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others”.
V5: “Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus”.
Real humility is not thinking less of ourselves. Real humility is simply seeing ourselves the way God sees us—no more and no less. Real humility is recognizing that we are a receiver, not a producer. We are dependents, not independent.
Real humility is knowing how much Our Creator God loves us, then we are not looking for the approval of others. Everything we have, our new self, our new heart, our new life with Our Lord and Our Friend was given to us by Him.
The fruit of receiving these incredible gifts is humility.
God Bless
