Sunday Encouragement

If this is your day for rest, like us all you still need encouragement. Be encouraged today by this wonderful verse from John 3 Verse 30:

John 3 Verse 30: “He must increase and I must decrease”.

Jesus has to be the center of our attention if we are to be spiritually self-disciplined. You see, whatever gets our attention gets us, If we give ourselves over to our own attention, then self is drawn to the center of our consciousness. Then everything in our lives will be arranged around the self {Ourselves} in our lives.

Believe as some people might, that it is a good thing to have self at the attention of our lives and focus, it is really something quite invasive and destructive. The center of our focus was created for our life with our God.

When we decide to follow Jesus, as Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend, we also need to decide, who is getting our attention, Jesus or ourselves.

Acceptance of Jesus in our lives, is a surrender, to His plans and purposes for our lives Jeremiah 29 verse 11:

“’For i know the plans I have for you —’ this is the Lord’s declaration — ‘plans for your welfare, not disaster, to give you a future and a hope’.”

We really could not believe that we ourselves, being the center of our own lives, could achieve anything like the plans, Our Lord and Our Friend has for us all. He call us to come follow Him. Take our focus off ourselves, and put our total trust in Him.

We must decrease in all the plans and self-protection we put around our own lives, and let Him become the focus of our attention with a pure faith and trust, that He holds the best plans and purposes and protection for our live. HE must increase to the place in our lives to have our total focus.

Be Blessed Today And Everyday.
