Undeserved Forgiveness

philemon

Most of the time we want to beat ourselves up, about doing something we didn’t want to do, or doing something that was not quite right. Simple solution for everything is take it to Our Lord in prayer. 1 John 1 verse 9: tells us:

“If we confess our sins {wrong-doings} He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.

We have a God that loves us, and if we confess the things we do wrong, He will forgive us. There is freedom in His forgiveness, might not be freedom in the world, if our wrong-doing breaks the world’s moral law. Christ Jesus paid the price, for us breaking God’s law, but if society demands more, He will be with us, no matter what we go through.

Through genuine repentance to Our Heavenly Father, there is tremendous peace.  Jesus tells His followers in John 8 verse 31 and 32:

V31: “If you continue in My Word, you really are My disciples”. V32: “You will know the Truth and The Truth will set you free”.

To continue to follow Our Lord and Our Friend, requires openness before Him, He knows all we do all the time, but He needs us to tell Him, about our bad decisions that are really not ok with Him, other wise our walk with Him will suffer.

But Our Heavenly Father doesn’t have a little back book, where He records all our wrong-doings we have confessed to Him. He has told us in Psalm 103 verses 12 and 13:

V12: “As Far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions {wrong-doings} from us”.

V13: ” As a father has compassion on his children, so The Lord has compassion on those who fear Him”.

Let us use the Amplified Bible, to highlight verse 13 again. “As a father loves and pities his children, so The Lord loves and pities those who  fear Him—with reverence, worship and awe.

God God that we serve, is Awe-inspiring, and wants us to walk in, all He has planed for us. Do let any self-righteousness, stop us from always being honest with Him.

God Bless.
