LIFE’S WISDOM FROM THE BIBLE
Don’t waste your time trying to get rich, for riches can disappear as though they had wings of a bird. Don’t associate with evil men. Don’t waste your breath on a rebel. He will despise the wisest advice. Don’t fail to correct your children, discipline won’t hurt them. My son, become a man of common sense and wise words. Listen to your father’s advice and don’t despise an old mother’s experiences.
Get the facts at any price and hold on tightly to all the good sense you can get. Don’t let the sparkle and the smooth taste of strong wine deceive you for in the end it bites like a poisonous serpent and, stings like an adder. Wise planning becomes strong through common sense and profits by keeping abreast of the facts. A wise man is mightier than strength. Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to death, don’t stand back and let them die.
God will reward everyone according to his deeds. Don’t try to disclaim responsibility for God, who knows all hearts, knows yours also. This chapter is so powerful and so applicable to the Christian life of today’s world that it calls for sharing the words to all who will listen. God’s wisdom was spoken then and is to be heard today. His wisdom pierces the heart as his advice relates to today.
‘My son/daughter, watch your step before the Lord and don’t associate with radicals. For you will go down with them to sudden disaster and who knows where it will end?’
Absorb these wise sayings and apply them in your life. Trust and listen to God’s truths and live them
