What A Wonderful Time Of The Year

Another year has flown past, and it is Christmas time again, and will so be a New Year. We hear at the ministry, want to thank everybody for reading our articles. Our Articles only purpose, is to encourage our brother and sisters in Christ, and if people were not to know Him, help them understanding the wonderful truth of God’s love for them.

John 3 verse 16: in a nutshell, “For God so loves any ‘Whosoever”. But it is the individuals {any whosoever s} choice, to except and believe it or not.

The ministry will be taking a two week Christmas holiday, break from writing, as we do every year. so we want to leave you with this short story, of the ‘Assurance’ that comes from making that choice, to except God’s wonderful offer.

” I Assure You”

This is a phrase used only by Jesus to testify to the certainty and importance of His Word. In Mathew, Mark and Luke it is literally Amen {Amen means so be it}.

Assurance 1 Thessalonians 1 verse 5:

“For the gospel did not come to you in word only. but also in power, in the Holy Spirit, with much assurance”.

and Hebrews 10 verse 22:

“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water”.

Dr Henrietta Mears, who wrote many books, one of her books that taught me so much, was, ‘What the Bible is All About’. Dr Mears was once asked by a brilliant young man, about surrendering His life to God. The young man was convinced that becoming a Christian would mean the loss of his personality, that he would be altered in some strange way, and that he would lose control of his own mind. He feared becoming a puppet in the Hands of God.

Dr Mears asked him to watch as she turned on a lamp. One moment it was dark, then she turned on the switch. She goes on to explain, “The lamp surrender itself to the eclectic current and light filled the room. The lamp didn’t destroy it’s personality when it surrender to the electric current. On the contrary, the very thing happened for which the lamp was created, it gave light.”

We we surrender our Lives to the one Who created us, we will glow in the way He also intended for us. We will not lose our personality it will be enhanced as The Holy Spirit comes to live in side us. That is real assurance.

That is really something to reflect on this Christmas.

To all our reader friends, have a Happy and Holy Christmas and a Wonderful New Year. We will be back early in the New Year, to continue telling of His love, and encouraging people and even ourselves, the ‘Assurance’ we have in Our Lord. Our Redeemer and Our Friend.

God Bless.
