Faith In Action ‘Not By Might’

troubles

If we were to listen to people tell about heaven today, many might not believe in it, but most would believe a good life will get you there. Many might say. ‘I hope so, I am trying to get to heaven’ as if there is a good enough button to push to give them a ticket, to get there.

A passage to heaven, was paid for in full by Christ Jesus on the Cross and through His resurrection. Ephesians 2 verse 8:

“For by Grace we are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is God’s gift”.

We can never get to heaven by our won merits or on the bases of what we are trying to do. The second chapter of Ephesians is about ‘Death to Life’ and ‘Unity in Christ’. The chapter begins by reviewing our past,

V1: We are dead in trespasses and sin.

V2: We are walking to a worldly age.

V3: We are carrying fleshly desires, and facing the wrath of God.

Then it is God The Father who did something, something God had planned all along.

V4: “But God, who is abundant in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us, V5:made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses {wrong-doings}, BY GRACE you are saved “.

There was nothing and is nothing we can do of ourselves, to get us to eternal life with God”.

V9: “Not of works, so no one can boast”.

How do we receive this Grace, if  you are a ‘whosoever’,  you can receive it through repentance and faith. {John 3 verse 16}

Then we become, by God’s Grace, and not by anything we have done,

V19: “So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household”.

We are saved by God;s Grace, We live and walk by faith, and by His Grace and though our faith, we offer our lives in service to Him. so many others will hear, the wonderful destiny Our Lord and Our Friend, has prepared for all us ‘Whosoevers’.

God Bless.
