There is a well known Christian Hymn, called ‘In Christ Alone’

In Christ alone,

my hope is found He is my light, my strength,

my song This cornerstone,

this solid ground firm through the fiercest drought and storm

Chorus 1 What heights of love,

what depths of peace When fears are stilled,

when strivings cease My Comforter,

my All in all here in the love of Christ I stand

How do we find this. ‘In Christ Alone. In His Word

Philippians 3 verse 1: tell us to: ‘Rejoice In The Lord’. this is not a context of just rejoicing in knowing Him.  This is more about what it states in, Acts 17 verse 28:

“For in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring”.

2 Corinthians 12 verse 9:

“But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness’, Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weakness, so that Christ power may resides in me.”

Romans 8 verse1: “Therefore, no condemnation now exists for those In Christ Jesus”.

The original Greek word here for ‘In’ is more like being,  ‘Enveloped In’. Like being inside an envelope.

Because in the pages of His Word, We find the power and inspiration, we need to live the Christian life.

We find the wisdom, we need for order in our inner lives.

We find assurance of how individually we are supremely dear to Our Lord and Our Friend.

We find all He has for us, for our journey through life with Him.

We find His Word discloses the nature of our final destiny and reminds us that Our Lord and Our Friend, is preparing a place for us, as our eternal home.

We find the help need to know what is objective truth, before We go out and face the pressuring dust of this current age.

In Christ Alone, we should not even try to get through life, without knowing and availing of all Our Lord and Our friend has for us, poured out through the Father’s love in, John 3 verse 16: That any ‘whosoever’ is welcome to partake of through accepting, the grace and mercy offered.

In Christ Alone, s wonderful way to live.
