If this is your day for rest like us all you still need encouragement. Be encouraged today, by this wonderful scripture from Hebrews 4 verse 12:
Hebrews 4 verse 12: “For The Word of God is living and effective and sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as to divide soul, spirit, joints and marrow, it is a judge of the ideas and thoughts of the heart.”
Scripture says that The Word of God is alive, active, sharper than a two-edged sword and profitable to teach truth, rebuke sin, correct errant ways, and train people up in righteousness. Even though things around our lives, don’t seem to make sense, we can rest in the knowledge that God has provided a path to peace. All people can be rock solid about His Presence for all of eternity, instead of troubled at the though of facing a dreadful afterlife.
The Word of God is active, actively doing, Our lives should be actively doing the Word of God. The next verse says. V13 “No creature is hidden from Him, but all things are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give an account.”
There is no place to go missing in the Kingdom of God, Our Lord and Our Friend is watching over us, to help us live an active believer’s life before Him.
Verse 14: Tells us to hold strongly to our confession of Faith.
Verse 15; Tells us at all times no matter what we go through Our Lord and Our Friend is with us. For He has been tested in every way as we are, yet without sin.
Verse 16: That wonderful verse, speaking of being active even in our needs and confusions that will come to us at times. Let us approach the throne of Grace with boldness.
The Word of God is Living, effective and sharper, penetrating and dividing, actively trying to sort out our Lives, that We have surrendered to Him. Surrendered is not a giving up, it is a handing over, of all of who we think we are, to be used as vessels of honor that He created us to be.
Surrender where we go under His surgeons knife, so He can transform us in the The Kingdom people we should be, living and active in our Faith.
