Sunday Encouragement

encourage

If this is your day for rest like us all you still need encouragement. Be encouraged by this thought provoking verse from Galatians 4 verse 9:

Galatians 4 verse 9: “But Now, since you know God. or rather have become known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and bankrupt elemental forces? Do you want to be enslaved to them all over again?”

God knows all about us, but until we make the decision for ourselves to repent {say sorry for wrong doing against Him} and accept, the Victory Christ Jesus won on the cross for a ‘whosoever’, {John 3 verse   16}. we can never have the assurance of being known.

The Apostle Paul, here in verses 8 and 9, points us back to a right relationship with The Father. Paul makes a comparison between being a slave to an impersonal and nonexistent idol of worship, and knowing relation ally the True God. But He seems to something strange, he seems to correct himself; “now that you know God, or rather are known by God’.

Paul is not saying they don’t know God. Anyone who has eternal life knows God, {which is confirmed by the Words of Jesus in John 17 verse 3}, and Paul does not question their faith.

We face many challenges in our Lives, and the assurance we have, is relationship with the God that created us. He has confirmed He will never leave us or forsake us {Hebrew 13 verse 5}.

The word Paul uses ‘rather’, probably more importantly means; How can we turn back to idols since we know God and again more importantly, are known by God.

It is all about assurance, ‘to know’, that we can really know God, because of His Knowing of us. Turning back is never an option, turning to the source of life {The God that knows and loves us} in our difficulties, challenges and problems, because we can be absolutely assured that, His promises are fixed and solid.

Assurance of knowing the New Life We have in Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend.

Be Blessed Today And Everyday.
