Faith In Action “Understanding God’s Love”

Christmas is about God’s love for us.

John 3 Verse 16: “For God loved the world in this way; He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life”.

We were created for relationship with God. But choices God gave to His creation, caused His creation to fall short of having a relationship with Him.

The Apostle Paul summed it up in Romans, 5 verse 12: “Therefore just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, in this way death spread to all men {women}, because all have sinned.”

The world has been broken ever since. All its beauty is interwoven with evil and disasters and frustrations. But God created it perfect. Genesis 1 verse 31:

“God saw everything that He had made and behold, it was good.”

Christmas is a celebration of God sending His Son, Whom He didn’t have to send, to provide a way back to having relationship with Him. There was nothing, absolutely nothing we could do to be good enough to be reconciled to God, but by the power of choice we could choose to believe in His Son, but have been held back by the power of sin, which causes separation from God.

Jesus was born in a lowly manger, emptied Himself of His Divine Glory lived as a man, and died on a cross for the sins of mankind and rose again to give all who believe (trust and rely) on Him, New life and an eternal destiny the way it was created for us to be.

A choice which should be hard to refuse, a choice that gives us eternal assurance, that death does not have any sting, for those Who believe His Promise.

God Bless
