Faith In Action’Work Hard’

It is quite clear from scripture. we can’t do anything of ourselves, to warrant or justified, being made right with God. it is a free gift, to ‘any whosoever’ who will accept Gods’ love and plans for their lives. John 3 Verse 16:

“For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone {any whosoever} who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life”.

God’s love is a transforming love. and a continual transforming love. His love is never ending and all embracing and requires all of us to do our best in everything we do. That is the least we can do in our lives and actions of loving Him, because of His great love for us.

So we know, we can’t earn our salvation, but what should be our attitude after our salvation experience. Good hard work has always been valued. Laziness is never respected, so laziness should never be apart of our new life, in Christ.

Laziness is not a virtue, Laziness is not a fruit of the Spirit. Matthew 7 Verse 16 and 17:

V16: “You’ll recognize them by their fruit. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes or figs from thistles”.

V17: “In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a bad tree produces bad fruit”.

Laziness shouldn’t expect others to care for them. This is not talking about rest or a much needed break after you have worked hard, there is great value in resting! God Himself rested from hard work and wants us to do the same {Genesis 2}. This is more a point about those who never work hard at anything. not because they are unable but because they re unwilling.

This is a completely unscriptural view, and unacceptable view, because of our high calling, and the plans God has for our lives. Jeremiah 29 Verse 11: Hard work may and can be daunting at times, but it is accomplished by taking one step at a time.

Whatever we decide to do, work at it with all of our hearts. Don’t cut corners. Don’t be lazy. Work hard and we will find as Paul did, no matter what circumstances we are in God’s Grace Is Sufficient for all our needs and expectations. 2 Corinthians 12 Verse 9:

Let us all be known by His transforming Fruit.

God Bless.
