Scripture Verse Of The Week ‘2 Peter 3 Verse 18’

2peter3 v18

2 Peter 3 Verse 18: “But grow in Grace and knowledge of our Lord and our savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever”. {NKJV}

We will never know contentment as Christians if we boast in what we do in our Christian lives, because we could always do better. We will never be content if we boast in what we have achieved, because we could always choice more. We will never be content if we boast in what we have experienced, because there will always be someone else who has had a more exciting spiritual experience than us.

But we don’t need the contentment from boasting, We don’t need the contentment from striving. We don’t need the self satisfaction of self sought praise, but when we boast in and celebrate God’s Grace made available to us because of Our Lord and Our Friend’s death for us, then we can know contentment and satisfaction, and does not matter what the circumstances are.

Satisfaction can come from ‘Bridal Strength’. The Cross humbles us. Our spiritual relationship to Our God can not be through anything we have done, or through anything we have experienced.

The Glorious Cross of Christ is the only path for authentic Christian spirituality. It is because of the Cross that we have gained access by faith into this Grace in which we now stand.

Bridled Strength, there is no room for boasting that God is our exclusive procession as though we were somehow superior to others who are not trusting in Christ. Rather the only legitimate boasting is in what God has done for us through Christ Jesus death. It has enabled us to share in the future glory of heaven, and it enables us yo see the positive aspect of times of suffering and struggles. The most wonderful aspect of this all is the Cross has reconciled us to God, _Romans 5 verse b2 to 11}

Grow in Grace, for that is our sufficiency for everything, 2 Corinthians 12 v 9:

God Bless.
