Generosity That Comes From Faith

philemon.jpg

In the Book Of Philemon, the Apostle Paul told Philemon, that he was praying for him, and asking God to help him, put into action generosity that comes from {his} faith. Philemon 1 verse 6:

‘And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the things we have In Christ”.

Paul also prayed that his friend would have a deeper understanding and experience of all that he had in Christ Jesus. After all the better we know Christ and the more experience for blessing, the more we want to share blessing with others.

If we turn back to Acts 3, and remember all that we have in Christ Jesus. The story in Acts 3, Peter and John, prayed for a cripple at the temple. The cripple was expecting something, but would have been surprised by the words of Peter.

V5: “I don’t have any silver or gold for you {cripple man}. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name Of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk”.

There is the experience of knowing Christ Jesus.

There is the transformation to our lives, that comes from knowing Christ Jesus.

There is the Knowing, the knowing of Who we are in Christ Jesus.

There is knowing and understanding of His Promise, “His Grace’ is sufficient for us in everything we do, life work, witness, serving and being. 2 Corinthians 12 v 9:

The word of Paul again. I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith, as you understand and experience all the the things we have in Christ”.  All the things we have in Christ comes to us in and through His Grace. In that Grace we have Sufficiency for all we need, and through that wonderful Sufficiency we have generosity not to keep it to ourselves.

God Bless.
