More Than Just A Sermon

sermon

The sermon on the mount, the Beatitudes not only reveal God’s divine nature but gives all of us a most powerful witnessing tool.

Mathew 5 verses 3 to 11 we will use the message Bible to highlight our blessedness.

verse 3 “You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and His rule.”

verse 4 ” You’re blessed when you feel you’re lost what is more dear to you. Only than can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.”

verse 5 ” You’re blessed when you’re content with who you are – no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourself proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.”

verse 6 “You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God. He’s food and drink in the best meal you can eat.”

verse 7 “You’re blessed when you care. at the moment of being ‘care-full’, you find yourselves cared for.”

verse 8 “You’re blessed when you get your inside world – your mind and heart – put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.”

verse 9 ” You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.”

verse 10 ” You’re blessed when your commitment to God provokes persecution. The persecution drives you even deeper into God’s kingdom.”

verses 11 ” Not only that – count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit Me. What it means that truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable.”

Those who are born again {accepted the salvation offered by our Lord on the cross} manifest the fruits of the Spirit, and should always be trying to live Godly in Christ Jesus.

Through this teaching, Jesus reveals a model for how a believer is to live, and in so doing receive spiritual prosperity, filling their lives with joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation. The world can not understand indeed it would be foolishness which could be seen as Christ Jesus advocating that Christians should live  in  unfortunate and depressed conditions if they are to be blessed in heaven.

On the contrary! Our Lord and Our Friend goes on to say in the following verses that Christians are to be the salt of the earth and to let there light shine before all people.

Our Lord and Our Friend is teaching us to live in humility and with a right heart attitude. {remember humility has been described as bridled strength previous teaching blog}.

Our Lord and Our Friend wants to bless us, so that the unbelievers are drawn to us and consequently the unbelievers can be lead to salvation in Him.

Don’t let anything trouble you, take it to Our Lord and Our Friend, and be all you can for Him.

Let His love fill you because love will always find a way, indifference will always find an excuse. Let no excuse be found in us.

God Bless
