Sunday Encouragement

encourage

If this is your day for rest you still need encouragement. Be encouraged with the news we were created with and for a purpose, we are not just some random chance. The God Who created us loves us, and wants to walk in fellowship with us and He has made away for us to do this.

1 John 5 verse 15;

“And if we know that He hears whatever we ask, we know that we have what we have asked Him for.”

The Know ids the whole issue here. It is knowing about God vs Knowing God. Lots of people have knowledge about Christianity and perhaps even the Bible, but head knowledge {intellectual} is different from heart knowledge {intimate} which is vital to Faith.

Knowing about God is quite different from having a personal relationship with Him. Just as there are in churches being in the business of God vs what they should be about, God’s business.

In the same way, knowing God involves far more, than knowing about Him. Knowledge alone does not produce real faith, that can produce intimate Knowing.

Regular habits of reading the Bible and studying the Bible, in order to apply God’s word to our lives is a great way to start to produce intimate Knowing.

Regular communication with Our Lord and Our Friend, coming before Him warts and all, we can’t tell Him anything He doesn’t already know, because He is ALL KNOWING, but He wants us all to be real to Him.

Applying your faith, it is no good for us to say we have faith and not to be using it. Faith works, using faith continues us on the journey to more intimate knowing.

Show your faith, be His vessel to those around you, people will seethe difference in you, and this will allow you to share your faith and help you to realize more about the intimacy of knowing.

The word is Know — Know what you believe — Know why you believe and with the knowing comes the joy of knowing, that He does hear, He does listen and He does want to help.

This is not a wishey-washey  Knowing of maybe, He is listening, It is the intimacy of knowing which starts from accepting, loving and growing in and with the God who loves us.
