Reflective Moment ‘No Room For Biiterness’

The best way to describe bitterness is anger, that has settled in for the long term. Anger that has got out of hand. Anger which can be good, because it is possible to have righteous anger. But there is  anger that has allowed the seeds of something worse to grow ‘bitterness’.

It is a bit like a plant that is left to grow unchecked, it will work it’s way deep into minds and emotions.

We have listed the Fruits of The Spirit, from which good fruit grows, well bitterness is the apposite it is a bad fruit. This particular fruit needs to be cut from our lives, before it makes us, hostile and hardened people.

The most awful thing about bitterness is, it damages our relationship with Our Lord and Our Friend.

Bitterness and any other bad fruit in our lives, needs to be handed over to Our Lord and Our Friend, with a repentant heart, to allow Him to help heal the wounds bitterness and other bad fruit have caused.

Hebrews 12 verse 15: “See to it that no one falls short of the Grace of God, and that no root of bitterness springs up, causing trouble and by it, defiling many.”

Ephesians 4 verses 31 to 32:  v31 “All bitterness, anger and wrath, insults and slander must be removed from you, along with all wickedness.”

V32 “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

The walk with the Lord requires. Micah 6 verse 8: “He has told you men {and women} what is good and what it is the Lord requires of you: Only to act justly to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God.”

There might be times in our lives when we get justifiably angry, but don’t let anger take control, plant it’s roots and grow the bitter fruit of bitterness.

Our Lord and Our Friend has said, he is faithful and just to cleanse us of all unrighteousness, if we confess our sins {wrong doings}. 1 John 1 v 9:

It is best to keep short accounts of wrong doings with Him, which will allow us all to grow in the Fruits of The Spirit, Our Lord and Our Friend has for our lives.

God Bless.
