Love is a moral absolute that is inseparably connected to Our Lord and Our Friend. Love is more than a means to an end. Love transforms, but being a Christian as a means to becoming happy, wealthy, or secure has nothing to do with loving Him. Using Our Lord and Our Friend to get a get out of hell free ticket is a means to an end.

Loving Our Lord and Our Friend requires more. Loving Our Lord and Our Friend focuses on Him as the object of desire and admiration. Loving Him requires a focus on and knowledge of the object of our love, which is God Himself {Father, Son and Holy Spirit}

We have new life in Christ Jesus, We should have a new love, of which He is the focus. Loving others is not the same as using others for your personnel gain. When we truly love, that love seeks the happiness and pleasure, of the object of that love.

The ultimate expression of God’s love is John 3 verse 16;

“For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life”.

Everyone who believes, is restored to relationship with Him. now and in eternity.

Perhaps when we, understand how much God does love us, we will understand, how we can fulfill;

Deuteronomy  6 verse 5: “Love The Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and all your mind”.

Our love needs to reflect this, in our adoration of Him, and the way we relate to others. It is not about what we can get, our Love should be about our giving of it.
