Compromising Away Blessing

doctrine

Moral and ethical compromise. It is impossible to sustain a credible message about a pure and holy light if we ourselves are living in moral darkness. John 8 verse 31 and 32.

V 31: “If you continue in My Word, you really are My Disciples”.

V32: “You will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free”.

God wants us to live a lifestyle that is morally attractive to unbelievers. Matthew 5 verse 14 to 16.

V14: “You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden”.

V15: “No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lamp stand, and it gives light for all who are in the house”.

V16: “In the same way, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven”.

Jesus has commissioned His followers to be the lights in dark places, by spreading His light. Are we still the light of the world or have our ways become compromised.

As His followers, we should be holy because we should reflect His character. We should be holy because He has determined to make us like Himself. Romans 8 verses 29 & 30:

“And those He called, He also justified, and those He justified, He also glorified“.

That is His goal in saving us, that we should be ‘holy and without blame’, before Him. Ephesians 1 verse 3 and 4:

V3: “Blessed be the God and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens, in Christ”.

V4: For He chose us in Him, before the foundations of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight, in love”.

What we were created to be, holy and blameless in His sight, we through what Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend, achieved for us on the cross, we have been redeemed to be, holy and blameless in His sight.

Do we need to make a new commitment and have a  new passion for evangelism and mission, because someone brought Christ Jesus into the midst of our spiritual darkness .

Is there any credible reason why we should not introduce someone else to His Grace.  Or are we the last unsaved people on earth because of compromise? ??

God Bless.
