Reflective Moment ‘Putting Off And Putting On’

new

Easter is a time to reflect on putting off the old and putting on the new.

2 Corinthians 5 verse 17:

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come.

The Apostle Paul in his teaching, Palins being a Christian must result in a changed life. If Christ is Head of all things, and if he has risen from death for us, this is a direct consequence for the way we live.

V17; Tells us all that we have become new creations. When we go through the waters of baptism, it signifies dying to old ways and putting on new ways. Putting off and Putting on.

Instead of being content, with having a literal Baptism which we all should go through. Perhaps our lives that have become so complex, should have a daily Baptism, at least to the extent, of symbolically, putting off dying to self and rising again, to new life In Our Lord, Our redeemer and Our Friend.

A daily reminder of God great love for us.

God Bless.
