It is a small word with big meaning, A small word sometimes confused with the word lust. It can be taken to mean everything, it really is not.

When we really love there is a cost involved, we need to give of ourselves, to express our love. John 3 verse 16:

“For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life”.

We written on this many times, God is love, one of God’s moral attributes is Love.

He is The God of Love:  2 Corinthians 13 verse 11:

God is Love: 1 John 4 verse 8:

Whoever dwells in love dwells in God: 1 John 4 verse 16 to 19:

God’s love is Just and because He is Love, His love extends Mercy.

His love is not wishy washy. but is love is merciful, to all of us who, who because of sin, could have no legal standing with Him. God is Love, God is Just, and out of that love that is just, He gave us mercy, through His Son. His Only Begotten Son Christ Jesus, Who paid the price, for God’s Just love. To give us right standing before Him.

Love has a cost involved with it, Love itself is Triunity ; there must be the lover, the love and loved. People who say they love a lifeless object, may think they have the love, but the love can’t be received and there is no cost. The item can’t tell you the cost of loving it.

One of the best example of love is marriage, between an man and a woman. Matthew 19 verse 4 and 5:

V4; “‘Haven’t you read’, ‘He replied, ‘that He created them in the beginning  made them male and female’,”

V5: “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and join to his wife, and the two will become one flesh?”

Triune love, The Lover {husband} The Love {they share] The Loved {wife}, and they give themselves to each other.

Can’t be. That I will love you untill this marriage contract runs out, Triune Love, the two become one, in love.

Can’t be. That I will love you if you do this for me. Love is just, and love, and the cost associated with real love, is be shared.

Can’t be. That I don’t love you anymore, The God kind of love never gives up.

Can’t be. That there is any harm inflicted on the one you love, because to God you have become One-flesh. {No domestic Violence}

The God kind of love never gives up, and keeping on giving through justness and mercy, and is not conditional and limitless.

The world sort of love, seems to say there is a limit to the amount of love to be given, after which we can change our minds.

God never loves this way, and doesn’t expect us to either.
