The Life Of The New Person

new

A little saying, that goes for all of us,

God at work in me. I am  not what I use to be, but I will, in the light of His Presence, become all I can be,

The Apostle Paul writes in Colossians Chapter 3, about the life of the new person in Christ Jesus, in verse 16: The Word tells us:

“Let the message about the Messiah dwell richly among you, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, and singing hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude in your hearts to God”.

The word dwell used here, means to take up residency, to move in and make a home. The Word of Christ is to take up an abundant residence in the hearts of believers.

The main reason for the letter to Colossians, is the sufficiency  of Jesus over all other man {person} made attempts at righteousness That is why it is so important, not just to allow His presence in our lives, but surrender our lives to Him.

The Apostle is declaring that the commands of Jesus should dwell in believers so we have the wisdom to teach {instruct}, to warn, and to encourage one another.

Paul concludes this message of Christ dwelling in our lives, with a sincere request to the Colossians and all believers to do everything in the name of Jesus. The culture at the time, that doing something in someone’s name meant accomplishing that task as a representative of that person.

Verse 17: “And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in The Name of The Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him”.

Imagine doing everything and not get agitated about anything, the secret can be found in this segment of scripture, Verse 15:

“And let The Peace  of the Messiah {Christ Jesus}, to which you were also called in one body, {The Body of Christ, The body of believers who have accept Him as Lord, Savor, Redeemer, and Friend}, control your hearts”.

The Life of a New person being transformed with, Christ in us, Who is the Hope of Glory. Colossians 1 verse 27; and that new person living enveloped in Christ Jesus. Romans 8 verse 1:

We truly are New Creations in Him: 2 Corinthians 5 verse 17:

God Bless.
