Psalm 25 verse 14: “The secret counsel of The Lord is for those who fear Him and He reveals His covenant to them’.
Fear is a difficult word to get around, because God’s word also tells us in: 1 John 4 verse 18; “There is no fear in love; instead perfect love drives out fear, because fear invites punishment. So the one who fears has not reached perfection in love”.
There are two types of fear of God: one is to have a reverential awe of Him, and the second is to be afraid of Him. As believers we should have a reverential fear, a fear of grieving Him. Our Lord and Our Friend has given so much for us, virtually a good way of putting is an awe inspiring numbness, to take in that, the God of Creation love us that much, and what He did, so we {or a whosoever} can walk in relationship with Him.
His love for us, is that we walk in peace, power and fellowship with Him. This is what this scripture verse is trying to tell us, His Will is that, His counsel and guidance {secret because the world can not understand}, is with those that fear Him, reverentially.
Walk through life in fellowship with Our Lord and Our Friend.
God Bless.
