You meet some people, and they feel so guilty in what they have done, where as others done care what they have done. As Christians we live in the world but are not of it, we belong to The Kingdom of God where Christ Jesus is Lord and King.
We are just taking some time here to clarify, a difficulty with sin {wrong doing against the God that created us}. Some would say, when we repent and accept Christ Jesus as Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend, all our sins are forgiven, past, present and future. Well that is true that all our sins are instantly forgiven, past present and future.
We are set free from the power of sin {wrong-doings}, but we don’t become perfect, we walk in His Perfection. It might be a surprise to some, but we can still sin with {wrong doings}.
Our Lord and Our Friend taught us to pray, Forgive us our debts {wrong-doings}, as we also have forgiven our debtors {The people who do wrong-doing against us}. Matthew 6 verse 12:
The Apostle John wrote on the subject in 1 John 2 verse 1 and 2: He realized what the fact it is:
V1: “My little children, I am writing you these things so that you may not sin. But if we do sin we have an advocate with The Father– Jesus Christ The Righteous One”.
V2: “He {Jesus} Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world”.
It is not that we lose our salvation if and when we do sin. It is a matter of maintaining constant, conscious fellowship with Our Lord and Our Friend. To say we don’t need to say we are sorry for sin we commit after we are saved, {and I have never met anyone who hasn’t} for example worry is a sin, because of lack of trust in Our Lord and Our Friend, we are clouding our walk.
Confessing the things that take the gloss off our walk with Our Lord and Our Friend, means we acknowledge our failure and humbly ask for His help in overcoming them. 1 John 1 verse 9:
God Bless.
