Imagine if we said to a love one, “We have one minute for you today, but it will be quality time”.
Many people treat God like that. We cannot build relationship with anyone, including Our Lord and Our Friend, in a moment here and a moment there.
Psalm 27 verse 4; {Living Bible]:
“The one thing I want from God, the thing I seek most of all, is the privilege of mediating in His Temple, living in His presence every day of my life, delighting in His incomparable perfections and Glory”.
Virtually saying the one thing we should desire the most, is being in our Lord’s presence. If we desire that the most, we need to spend quality time with Him, in prayer {communication}, in worship {adoration of Him, in getting to know Him, by reading more about Him, through His Word.
The more quality time we spend with Him, the more the life we are living in this world will be transformed.
Most times we take Our Lord and Our friend for granted, we know He is with us, but we don’t spend enough time enjoying His Presence.
Most times we only talk to Him, when we need something, or something is going wrong in our lives
In ! Peter 1 verse 1 to 8; Telling us about Growth in Faith
V1: “Simeon Peter, a slave and Apostle of Jesus Christ: to those who have obtained a faith of equal privilege with ours {obtained faith the same kind as ours} through the righteousness of our God and savior Jesus our Lord”.
V2: “May grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God of Jesus our Lord”.
V3: “For His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by {or to} His glory and goodness”.
V4: “By these He has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires”.
V5: “For this reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge”
V6: “Knowledge with self-control, self=control with endurance, endurance with godliness”.
V7: “godliness with brotherly affection with love”.
V8: “For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they will keep you from being useless and unfruitful in the knowledge of Our Lord Jesus Christ”.
Our spare time, of a few minutes here and there, will not help us grow in the divine nature, and escape the corruption of the world.
Lets be people who give Him ‘quality time’.
Lets be people who confess. “The one thing we want from God, the thing we seek most of all, is the privilege of mediating in His Temple, learning from Him through His Word. and living in His Promises every day of our lives”.
This will only come, by spending ‘quality time’ with Him. God gave us His Best, in response we should give our best back to Him.
God Bless.
