Circumstances around our lives sometimes may overwhelm us. We are not immune from difficult circumstances, it is what we do with the difficult circumstances that makes the difference.
A song my wife and I have been singing lately in some difficult circumstances, we are going through is:
“My God is So Big, So strong and so mighty, there is nothing My God cannot do for you”.
We can sing that with great gusto, after all we are His Children: John 1 verse 12:
Nothing is ever too difficult to Him, so when we are in difficult circumstances, allow ourselves to become one of His Children again, which we all are and start singing, “My God is so big, so strong and so mighty, There is nothing My god cannot do for me.
In these difficult circumstances we hold on to His Word, and the one, we are holding onto with great gusto is Proverbs 3 verse 5:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding”.
We serve an Awesome god, and we can trust Him, because He is unfailing and illimitable. Hebrews 13 verse 5: “I will never leave you or forsake you”
When we make Him, Lord, He becomes Lord over everything in our lives, even difficult circumstances.
Trust in The Lord with all your heart: We can do this because He loves us. we can lean on His promises, because we can lean on Our Lord and Our Friend Himself, because He is so big so strong and so mighty.
Lean not on our own understanding: This does not mean we should not think through decisions or use our God given minds. It means we think through things in total submission with God’s will and complete awareness of His superior knowledge, because He knows everything about us anyway.
Our God is so big: Think about him in all our ways, than when difficult circumstances do come, which they will we are not immune, we can say Lord I want to come before you afresh, to let You help me through them.
Psalm 23 speaks about going through, with His rod and His staff as our guide
Our God is so big: and He loves so much, that he died in our place, and rose again to give us new life. He is always available to someone who knows Him as and calls Him, My Lord and My Friend.
