The Deity Of Christ Jesus

Peter found The Truth and said it in Matthew 16 verse 16:

“You’re the Christ, the Messiah, Son of the living God”.

But it is The Gospel of John where John shows us Jesus as the self-revelation of God and the various responses of the people around Him, to that revelation.

Firstly: In john 1 verse1: “The eternality of Christ Jesus.

V1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God, and the Word was God”.

V2 He was with God in the beginning.

Secondly: Jesus, is distinct from God  John presents Jesus as fully God, but distinct from the person of the Father. This is the foundation of the teaching known as the trinity, that there is one God, but He exists as three distinct ‘persons’ Father, son, and Spirit. We were created in the image of God, Body, Soul and Spirit.

Thirdly: Jesus is God: John is saying that Jesus is God in bodily form, and He is God completely. Salvation can only come through the Creator dying for His Creation as one of us. It would have been pointless for Jesus to die if He wasn’t God incarnate in flesh.

Fourthly; John 1 verse 2 and 3: Everything came into existence by Jesus, which means nothing came into existence without Him. Again the only one who could pay the price for our wrong-doings {sin} is the one who created us.

Fifthly ; John 1 verses 4 and 5: Jesus is the source of Spiritual life. John does not hold back here, and refers to Christ Jesus as the source of life more than fifty times in his Gospel.

These are only brief example of highlighting the Deity of Our Lord and Our Friend. The challenge for us all is to delve, into His Word more and more to find out more about the awesomeness of The God that loves us.

We are created for a purpose and destiny and we only truly find that destiny, when we know for sure who Jesus really is.

God Bless.
