Today our first article was on forgiveness, and because forgiveness is such a big issue here are some scripture verses to reflect on.

From The Message Bible:

Psalm 103 verse 12: “AS far as sunrise is from sunset, God has separated us from our sins”.

Proverbs 19 verse 11: “Smart people know how to hold their tongue; their grandeur is to forgive and forget”.

Ephesians 4 verse 32: “Be gentle with one another, sensitive, Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave You”.

Galatians 6 verse 1; “Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments to yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day’s out”.

Titus 2 verse 11: God’s readiness to give and forgive is now public. Salvation for everyone.” {Everyone who confesses their wrong doings and accept God’s offer through Christ Jesus}.

We become new creations by accepting the salvation God has offered to everyone us. 2 Corinthians 5 verse17;

We have a new life, a new purpose, a new destiny, for anyone in Christ, there is a new creation: old things have passed away, and new things have come.

With this come new choices; Colossians 3 verse 12 to 14:

“So chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: Compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it”.

We have new garments to wear and they should be put on fleshly everyday when we take time t come before Our Lord and Our Friend, but don’t ruin them by having unrepentant unforgiveness in our lives.
