If we are going to achieve anything we will need to be committed.
There are many uses of the word commit, there are also good and bad commitment. Each commitment takes a choice of our free will which God has given to us. Free will allows us to commit sin, that probably the easy one, we are born sinners. Sin is apart of our nature, we are born into a fallen world
It is when we commit our lives to Christ Jesus, and let the new nature, which is part of the all things become new in Him, we are transformed that we don’t want to do wrong. {read our blog again on SANCTIFICATION}.
The Bible speaks of commitment in both negative and positive ways.
Deuteronomy 29 verse 24 speaks about the negative side of commitment.
Psalm 37 verse 5 to 6 speaks about committing your ways to the Lord. {Message Bible} “Open up before God, keep nothing back; He’ll do whatever needs to be done;He’ll validate your life in the clear light of day and stamp you with approval at high noon.”
Each alternative involves making decisions, turning oneself over to something or someone, a focused and sometimes costly perseverance, and then reaping the consequences or reward of our commitment.
Understanding commitment and learning to commit all we are, is important to a life of faith. In fact without a definite commitment our faith, our faith lacks meaning and is dead.
Be committed and as Proverbs 3 verses 3 and 4 declares;
verse 3 ” Never let loyalty and faithfulness leave you. Tie them around your neck; write them on the tablets of your heart”.
verse 4 ” then you will find favor and high regard in the sight of God and man.”
Be committed to a wonderful Savior and allow Him to become Your Lord and Your Friend.
He will never leave you or forsake you. Trust Him.
God Bless
