The Meaning Behind Two Trees Ministries

Two trees represents the Two Trees in the Garden of Eden.

The Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil and the Tree of Life.

Genesis 1 verse 9 The Lord God caused out of the ground every tree pleasing in appearance and good for food, including the tree of life in the midst of the garden as well as the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Man was created to commune with God.

Genesis 1 verse 27 So God created man in His image, He created him in the image of God (Himself). He created them male and female.

Lets Quickly turn to The Gospel of John.

John 1 verses 1 to 4 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. All things were created through Him and apart from Him not one thing was created that has been created, life was in Him.

The Word of God refers to Jesus.

John 1 verse 14 The Word became flesh and took up residence among us.

Man than woman were created to live with God and commune with Him in the Garden of Eden. It would have been an amazing place.

The only thing God told them not to do was to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and if they did they would surely die. This was not a physical death but spiritual death their wonderful relationship with God was changed forever.

We are all created in the image of God.

Genesis 1 verse 16 Then God said ’ Let Us make man in our image, according to Our likeness.

God is a three part being FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT.

we are a three part being body soul and spirit.

Adam and Eve were spirit ,soul and body. The spirit communed with God, while in the body, controlling the soul (our sense or our conscience)

After the fall the soul (filled with the knowledge God knew was no good for us at that point in time), controlled the body and pushed the spirit back and they didn’t have the same relationship with God.

The wonderful spirit controlled life had died. They could no longer live in the garden.

They were locked out, to separate them from the Tree of Life. The Tree of Life would be no good for them in their fallen state. The Tree of Life was to nourish them in their life with God, that life with God had now changed.

Read Revelation 3 verse 22

From having everything to having nothing, they had to work hard with their own hands to survive.

God made a pretty simple rule don’t eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but they did.

God is a God of His word. God can not lie. God needed to do what He said He would do if they ate from the tree.

Creation was now turned on it ear, but God never gets caught out, He knew His creation would do the wrong thing. He gave them a free will.

God that created us gave us the freedom to believe Him or not.

God could have created robot to worship Him, but God would not have had the companionship of His creation He wanted.

It would have easy to believe God and what He told Adam and Eve in the garden, because they saw the beauty of all that God created first hand.

Alas things looked grim, but God had a plan Adam and Eve could not do anything to restore the relationship. God made the rules for His creations for our own good. God made the consequences for the actions of Adam and Eve betrayal also for their own good.

All things are made by Him.

God would have to restore the relationship, no one else could if God is to keep His word.

That is where a third tree comes in. The tree of the cross. A price had to be paid for betrayal of communion with Him. This betrayal is also disobedience which is also sin against God.

A price had to be paid for the sins of God creations.

God would pay the price by allowing His only begotten Son (Jesus the creator) to die for His creation.

Jesus emptied Himself of His divine Nature, took on the form of His creation, followed the commands of His Father, suffered abuse at the hands of His creation, died on the cross (in his incarnate body). To pay the price for the sins not only Adams and Eve but for the sins of the Whole World that have ever been committed.

John 1 verse 29 The next day John (the baptist) saw Jesus coming towards him and said “Here is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

The sins of the whole world were placed on Jesus on the cross. The Father could not look at His Son because of what was placed on Him.

If Jesus was not God it would have been pointless for Him to do this.

Jesus died and took back the keys that were stolen in Adam and Eves betrayal. So He could restore us back to Himself and the Father.

If we accept that Jesus paid the price for us on the cross, and acknowledge our sins (our wrong doings) to Him.

We are then restored with God.

Our spirit, controls our soul and our body just like before the fall of Adam and Eve.

We only face one death, physical death (body death) but we will keep living with God in eternity.

For those who do not they will face physical death and spiritual death which is separation from God for eternity.

Jesus is waiting for our response.

Revelation 3 verse 19 As many as, I love. I rebuke and discipline. So be committed and repent.

3 verse 20 Listen I stand at the door (of your life) and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to commune with him and he with Me.

  • Welcome Him in He truly wants to be your Lord and Friend.

God Bless
