Esther tells the amazing story of how a young orphaned girl became queen and saved her people from being killed. Esther means ‘star’ and she shone brightly for what she believed in this book.

The theme of My Lord My friend is that God knows and cares about everything thats happens in our lives, this is also very evident in the book of Esther. God can turn bad fortune into good,IF we are prepared to stand up for what is right.

From orphan to queen. Chapter 2: Esther made queen.

Even after Esther was made queen, she did what was right. Most people might have compromised at this point of reaching the top, but Esther risked her own life for what is right (Chapter 4:5).

An evil plan was hatched by an evil man that was created to destroy Esther’s people. Esther knew that God wanted to use her, for she, like us were created for ‘such a time as this’. Some people know when God wants to use them. We may not know the time when God will, but He does use us all. It’s all in His plan.

Are you ready to be used like Esther despite the circumstances against you, despite the belongings you may lose, despite the thought of becoming unpopular, despite the chance you might lose your life?

Esther 8:6

“How can I bear to see disaster fall on my people? How can I bear to see destruction of my family?”

Let’s finish with verses from Timothy 2:1

“You therefore, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. Be strong in the Lord and He will go before you.”
