From The Heart

Life can be like a jigsaw
Many of us have heard the saying “life is like a box of chocolates” from the popular
ole movie called Forest Gump: with the thought that we don’t know how the seasons
of our life will be.
I love doing jigsaws, especially on my iPad. I love the ones with houses and
gardens; the colors are often so amazing. What I have found over the years is that
even though I find a piece that I know goes in a certain place, it often doesn’t want to
go into place until the pieces around have gone where they need to be.

A life lesson I have taken from this simple bit of pleasure and challenge is that
sometimes when I am waiting for an answer from the Lord, there are other ‘pieces’
that need to fall into place before the answer comes. To me, this is one of the
wonderful things about trusting our Lord and Friend in the journey of life, He is good
and knows just when it’s the perfect time.

I find comfort in the Scripture from The Passion Translation, Proverbs 19:22 “A
person may have many ideas concerning God’s plan for his life, but only the designs
of God’s purpose will succeed in the end.” Thank You, Father.

A further encouragement, Proverbs 19:23, also in The Passion Translation, “When
you live a life of abandoned love, surrendered before the awe of God, here’s what
you’ll experience: Abundant life. Continual protection. And complete satisfaction!”
May you find joy and peace and rest as you trust in Him.

Shalom. Kath
