A New Identity

The Bible teaches, that once we accept Jesus as Our Lord and Our Savior, our identity is no longer based on trying to achieve, trying to look difference in our appearance, or whether we are approved by others.

We no longer need to strive to look to these things to decide whether we feel good or bad about ourselves. The truth is, our new identity has nothing to do with what we do.

The new identity of every believer is one of the most important themes of the New Testament. Every believer in Christ Jesus is a person who is in Christ Jesus. Romans 8 Verse 1:

“Therefore, no condemnation now exists for those in Christ Jesus”. We are In Christ enveloped by Him. When we receive Christ Jesus as our Savior, we were baptized into Him.

Spiritually, we are now in union with Him. This is our new position.

Our identity, is no longer based upon our behavior, or our success or failures. The truth our status has nothing to do with what we achieve or don’t achieve. It is based completely on what Christ Jesus has done. Romans 6 Verse 3 and 4:

Verse 3: “Or are you unaware that all of us who were baptized into His death?”

Verse 4: “Therefore we were buried with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the Glory of The Father, so we too may walk in a new way of life”.

Christ Jesus’ perfect life, death and resurrection are what the Father se when He looks upon us {All that have received Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior}.

Since we are baptized into Christ Jesus, God The Father always see us in Him.

God Bless.
