Romans 1 Verse 17: “For in it God’s righteousness is revealed from faith to faith, just as it is written; The righteous will live by faith”.

This is the key verse of Romans, for it announces Paul’s theme: ‘how God makes us, right in His sight’.

This phrase is also translated ‘righteousness’ and is used in one way or another over sixty times in the book of Romans. righteousness, made right, just and justified.

God’s righteousness is revealed in the gospel for it is the death of Christ, God God revealed righteousness by punishing sin; and in the resurrection of Christ, God revealed His righteousness by making salvation available to the believing sinner.

The question ‘How can a Holy God ever forgive sinners and still be Holy?’ is answer in the Gospel. Through the death and resurrection of Christ, God is seen to be both just and justifier

Romans 3 Verse 26: “He presented Him to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be righteous and declare righteous {or acquit} the one who has faith in Jesus.

The Gospel {which is also called The Good News} a righteousness that is by faith, from start to finish’.
