Wisdom and fruitfulness

Proverbs 9 today, one heading was Wisdom’s Feast.

Verse 1 says “Wisdom has built herself a palace upon seven pillars to keep it secure.”

Seven pillars points us to James 3:17-18, which tells us “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.” Here is clarity to discerning God’s wisdom as opposed to early wisdom.

“But of Him, you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. “ 1 Corinthians 1:30. Christ is our wisdom from God; that is understanding and insight given only by God. He is our all in all.

Verse 11 (The Passion Translation) says “Wisdom will extend your life, making every year more fruitful than the one before.”

Our Lord and Friend, Jesus Christ is our Wisdom. He wants our lives to be more and more fruitful each season, to prosper in all that we do. He dwells within us by His Holy Spirit, so as we feast at Wisdom’s table, we can learn His ways. We can feed our hearts on revelation-truth that transforms us, enabling us to implement wise strategies because of the understanding we have learned.

How wonderful is our Lord and Friend. He truly is the Good Shepherd who leads us to green pastures and beside still waters, which can restore our souls. He has prepared a table for us in the presence of our enemies – Wisdom’s feast.

May Wisdom extend your life and make every year more fruitful than the one before.
