Dealing With Difficulties ‘Hypocrisy’

Dealing with Difficulties – Hypocrisy

It is believing one thing and practicing another or saying another. Hypocrisy comes from a Greek word that means ‘play actor’. Some call it wearing a mask; Pretending to be something that one is not in order to receive recognition or gain. Hypocrisy is a result of pride.

It is not a fruit of The Spirit; but it can be a little fox in the vineyard gnawing away at the good fruit growing in our lives.

Many of us have been disappointed or even hurt by religion. Some say the church is full of hypocrites. The truth is that the church is full of sinners saved by Grace, who are still working their way through lots of things. The concept that the church is full of ‘people who have it all together’ is so wrong. Rather it should be a place to help people in all sorts of difficulties. In any congregation there are people stronger in faith, but they are not immune to the difficulties of life.

We don’t have to please anyone, except God {Our Lord and Our Friend], and He is always there to help us. He wants to know the real us. As Christians, we come to Our Lord and Our Friend in worship, and we can boldly and humbly, come to Him with everything we are and have, trusting Him to help us in both our weaknesses and strengths.

Jesus instructed His disciples in prayer in Matthew 6 verse 9 to 13. As we follow His guidelines, we approach our Father God by virtue of the blood of Jesus; worshipping Him for Who He is and what He has done for us; declare Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as in heaven; asking for our daily needs to be met and finding power to forgive others as He has forgiven us. Put on the whole armour of God as mentioned in Ephesians 6 verses 10 to 18 that we might not fall into temptation but walk as overcomers; Praying the hedge of protection around ourselves and our loved ones (Psalm 91) and declaring the Kingdom Power and Glory for ever and ever belong to our Lord and Friend. Our God reigns.

We can never perfect ourselves, but since we are enveloped in Him, He will bring out the best in us as we keep our eyes on Him, walking closely with Holy Spirit.

God Bless.
