From The Heart

Power in the Blood of Jesus Christ

Blood in our bodies brings oxygen and nutrients to all the parts of our body so they can keep working. Blood carries carbon dioxide and other waste materials to the lungs, kidneys, and digestive system to be removed from the body. Blood also fights infections and carries hormones around the body.

1 Corinthians 15:46 “However, the spiritual is not first but the natural, and afterward the spiritual”. Things in the natural often help me understand things in the spiritual.

I was listening to a song recently and part of the lyrics “I have been transformed by the blood of the Lamb”. got me pondering on the transforming power of the blood of Christ.

Colossians 1:20 “and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the cross. PEACE and RECONCILIATION

Ephesians 1:7 “in Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace” REDEMPTION and FORGIVENESS

Hebrews 10:19 “therefore brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus” CONFIDENCE TO APPROACH GOD

Hebrews 12:24 NLT “you have come to Jesus, the One who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel” (Genesis 4:10 “And the Lord said, ‘what have you done? Listen, your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the ground.’” CHRIST’S BLOOD SPEAKS MERCY/FORGIVENESS

No wonder our Lord and Friend said regarding the holy communion, “as often as you do this remember Me”. Let’s remember, with hearts full of awe and gratitude, all the benefits we have through His precious blood shed for us; Healing, forgiveness, peace, confidence, reconciliation, redemption ……..

Grace and peace
