Showing Our Faith
Christian love is distinctive because it’s prayerful, pastoral and practical. Caring for others in a Christ-like way comes from a living faith, through which we act on God’s commands to love our neighbor as ourselves, do good to all people, and share the gospel and love of Jesus with those who don’t know him—all to the glory of God
Mark 12:30 and 31:
V30: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.”
If we give Him of our selves to be used, He will use us. Not for our own advantage but for others.
V31: “Love you neighbor as yourself, there are no other commandments greater than these”.
Loving Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend, we can face any consequence for Acts 17 v 2*:
“For in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His Offspring”.
Galatians 6 V 10: “Therefore, as we have opportunity, we must work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.”
Matthew 28 V 19 and 20:
V19:”Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit”.
V29: Teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you, And remember, ‘I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
1 Cor 10:31: “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything got God’s Glory.”
This kind of love is more than an emotion or feeling; it’s intentional, active and involves sustainable self-sacrifice and keeping Jesus at the centre of all that we do.
God Bless.
