If this is your day for rest, you still need encouragement. Be encouraged by this wonderful scripture from Romans 4 verse 6:

Romans 4 Verse 6:

“Likewise, David also speaks of blessing of the man {or woman} to whom God credits righteousness apart from works.”

In Romans Paul continues to explain that God has been telling the same story all along. Abraham didn’t earn right standing before God by following the law. God hadn’t given the law yet. Abraham simply trusted that God was able to declare him, an unrighteous man, as righteous — and He did.

All God’s people, can become righteous in the same way; by trusting {not just as in the meaning of the word},by a cleaving trust, never letting doubt, stop us from trusting, in God’s ability to make us so,

Paul explains that if God’s people were defined by their ability to follow the law, then God would have no people at all because no one can follow it exactly. The only way for God to have followers is for Him to do what he does, “to call into being things that are not.

We have our righteous credited to us by God because by faith we believe in God and in what he says, just like Abraham did.

God loves us so much that he sent His Son to die for us while we were His enemies. And He did it all to declare us right before Him, because of the victory won for us on the cross.

‘Faith’ a small word, but ‘Faith’ in an ever present God, leads to a life everlasting, in His ever-presentness and a life of relationship with Him which we were created for.
