Scripture Verse Of The Week

Romans 12 Verse 8: “If exhorting, i exhortation; giving with generosity; leading with diligence; showing mercy with cheerfulness.”

In a different translation NLT: “If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging, if it is giving, give generously if God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.”

The word generously. The word literally means without fold or crease, that is wide open. It means to be liberal, not selfish or tightfisted.

The gift is to be used sincerely or with delight and without interior motives.

It is free from inner discord and accompanied by a pure heart.

I Timothy 2 Verse 4: Who gave Himself, a ransom for all, a testimony at the proper time”.

We were born for such a time as this, the only worthy example we have, is Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend, Who gave of Himself freely, that we might have New Life in Him.

Let us be people that freely give, from a pure heart as we learn to walk closer and closer to Him.

God Bless.
