If this is your day for rest, like us all you still need encouragement. Be encouraged today by this wonderful verse from Ephesians 6 Verse 7:

Ephesians 6 Verse 7: “Render service with a good attitude, as to the Lord and not to men”.

A well known Christian author D L Moody, was quoted as saying, “A man ought to live so that everybody knows he is a Christian’.

How will people know we are Christian, not by what we say but what we do. It is easy to express sentiment s such as loyalty love and respect. But the real question is, what happens when our commitments cost us something.

In Leviticus, along with the rest of the Law, spelled out practical ways in which people could demonstrate their loyalty and love to God, as well as ways for the people to demonstrate their commitment to each other.

Leviticus tells us,  one of the most important ways was through the sacrificial system. The sacrifices were inconvenient and costly. But by carrying them out, the people showed in a very evident way thatt they were God’s people.the sacrifices turned words into actions.

Today more than ever we need to turn our words and our thoughts into actions, even though it may cost us something. 1 John  verse 18:

“Little Children, we trust not in word or speech, but in deeds and truth”.

Love is an action, and one thing needs to remain clear. Nothing that we do ever puts God in our debt, Rather we are forever obliged to Our Lord and Our Friend. But when it comes to putting our faith into action Just Do It.
