There are times in our lives, when we are so busy we yearn for quieter times. There are times in our lives, where nothing seems to be happening, we yearn for busier times.

Life has become so complex, but mostly we make it complex. The Book of Ecclesiastes is a good place to turn, when we feel complex.

Ecclesiastes 1 verses 1 to 7: Solomon {King Solomon} one of the richest and wisest kings in history is reflecting, “Is life worth living, everything is futile”.

If we take a moment to reflect on Ecclesiastes, we find that apart from God, life is full of weariness and disappointment.

Watching people in a crowd, sometimes makes you want to cry, sometimes want to laugh, but most people you are observing, would know little about God. In there little corner of the world, they were either trapped in the weariness and disappointments of what life offers, or they were happy with what life had dealt them.

Ecclesiastes is a dramatic autobiography of Solomon’s experience and reflections, while he was out of friendship with God. The problem that faced Solomon’s in his reflections was how could he find happiness and satisfaction apart from God.

Ecclesiastes is a good place to start reading, when we are reflecting on our life and the situations around us. Every problem we think we have, someone else has had it before.

The trouble is most of us at sometime, reflect on the problems around our lives, but the Answer is to reflect on The God that loves us and gave Himself for us, that In Him we can have New Life.
