Three Little Words
Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin
Daniel 5 Verse 26: “This is the interpretation of each word:
Mene: God has numbered your kingdom and finished it.
Tekel: You have been weighed in the balances and found wanting.
Upharsin {Peres}: Your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and Persians.
A Message given to a Kingdom of this world, interpreted by a man described by the world as in Daniel 5 verse 11: “There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God.’
The world in some way knows about The Holy God, but only when there are troubles does it acknowledge Him, and generally to ask why He allowed that.
God allows things because of man’s {woman’s} choose that leave Him out, but when He has had enough. in this case the writing was on the wall.
Tekel: You have been weighed in the balance and found wanting.
This kingdom did come to an end, but the man of God, the man it described as “in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God’ went on to serve another worldly kingdom.
We might seem if we serve in an ungodly kingdom of this world, but we are only asked to be full of Him. Honor and worship Him in the difficult circumstances. And in our faithfulness even the world will promote us.
Daniel 5 Verse 7: {The worldly Kings decree}: Whoever reads this writing and tells me it’s interpretation. Shall be clothed with purple and have chains of gold around his {or her] neck and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.”
Daniel was not only a man of faith, but he also had a lot of courage to interpret the message as he had interpreted before, because the interpretations were not good for the person who sort them.
Do we want to be content with a judgement of the world on us, or do we want to be filled with the Spirit of God, and share God messages with the world?
Do we want the message of been measured and found wanting?
Or do we want to here, ‘well done good and faithful servant?
The choose is found in ‘God so loved the world that he gave, through His Son, New Life, New Purpose, New direction.
We are living in troubled times, let have a Daniel conviction, in our living in it.
God Bless
