A lady that had it all, but was prepared to risk it all to do the right thing.
Esther name means ‘star’. Esther won a beauty contest, and ended up queen! The king of Persia had a fight with his wife, so he decided to make a search for the most beautiful woman in his country. That woman would be queen. Esther was chosen, because she was queen, Esther helped her people.
Esther’s beauty and character won the heart of The Persian King.
Esther was open to advice and willing to act.
Esther had courage and the knowledge, of the best way of using it.
Esther was more concerned for others than for own security.
Esther was a woman of faith, and she knew serving God often demands that we risk our own security. Esther used her position, God had placed her in, to achieve purposes that God has for her life.
At a time when protocol, said she was not allowed to approach the King, her courage and timing shone through to do what is right. Esther could have lost her own life, in speaking out of turn, but the courage she displayed by her actions not only spared her own life, but that of her people and her cousin Mordecai, who had raised her.
People of Faith, are not self-serving people, they are people serving and God honoring.
Esther displays the courage of her convictions, truly an example for us all. Read the story of Esther by a Book of the same name in the Old testament.
Scripture verse to live by. Proverbs 31 verse 30:
“Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that fears the Lord, shall be praised.
God Bless.
